Q: How was the journey getting to Raja Ampat?
A: It was easily one of the most extreme adventures I’ve ever been on – we arrived at night in the pitch black with only the stars to guide us!

Q: You shot in so many beautiful spots! How did you travel around while you were there?
A: We Kayaked! The beautiful islands you see in the photos are close enough together to paddle from one to the other – it was risky though! We had all our gear and belongings with us and were always mindful we could tip over!

Q: What was your favorite thing about your time there?
A: All the unique animals we saw, the gorgeous places we hiked, the people we met, and the universal language we all seemed to speak.

N A T I V A is a representation of the original San Lorenzo Bikinis Brazilian roots. We originated in South America, and the Amazon rainforest is one of our first inspirations in building the collection. We wanted to bring these true origins to light by giving you new, bold and wild colors and prints, including animal and exotic floral prints.
Each bikini is hand-made in Peru, all reversible, and all styles are guaranteed to stand out from the crowd.
Q: What is the idea behind the shoot?
We wanted to find a location that was very tropical, and included lots of different color palates to bring out the vivid prints and solids from this collection.
After a lot of scouting and research, we found the perfect spot in Hollywood Hills. This home features a tropical garden, unique nooks and finishes, and an overall perfect vibe that matched the mood we wanted.
To find this perfect tropical oasis in city was a dream come true.
Q: Who did you work with on the shoot?
Juliana Herz, our model, was the perfect fit. Her look is exotic and her personality vivacious, captivating our ideal tropical look and the vibes we wanted.
Stylist Kailtyn Bone did an amazing job accessorizing and, and hair and makeup was done by Jill Collwell.
Q: Will the prices & quality remain the same?
Yes! Our Nativa collection fabrics will be the same as the buttery-soft, silky lycra fabric you are familiar with from previous Resort collections – at the most affordable prices we’ve ever offered!
Prices will be between $65 and $75 a piece, and less than $150 for a one piece.
We are very meticulous with our design process and fabric sourcing, and this collection is sure to be like anything you’ve ever seen before.

Q: Will any of the #SLNativa styles be available in extended sizing?
Yes. For this collection, we wanted to add an additional size – XL! The size run for #SLNativa is XS – XL, and includes multiple coverage options from our classic thong belt, to high waist options.
Our goal in the future is to have this size run available in all collections and capsule collections.
